This was taken on a trip out to Wallasea Island. I thought this looked quite interesting with the rusting metal dumped in the marsh.

Another shot that afternoon, as you can see I was having trouble with the sun reflecting off the water and giving a under exposed beach to the right. Has anyone got any advice on taking the above shot but getting a balanced exposure?

This was taken Bank Holiday Monday 7th May, is shows a Jetty down on Southend’s seafront. As you can see from the shot it was a lovely calm day!
I took alot of shots that afternoon and very few came out, most of them were taken with shutter priority mode and all seemed to have +2 exposure compensation. And these all are over exposed. There were a few taken with Auto mode on D400 which came out like the one above. Is there a way to resurrect these over exposed shots without them looking processed?
